Saint Cloth Myth APPENDIX to change direction?

Today, Bandai Japan published a dedicated page celebrating innovation in Saint Cloth Myth line for the year of 2011. You can check out the page here (in Japanese): http://tamashii.jp/special/scm/tokusyu/201112_saint.html

Bandai began with how they improve the female body type, from the earliest Pandora to Polaris Hilda, before finalizing Shaina, which released last month.

Then, Bandai explains about the release of Saint Cloth Myth APPENDIX Lizard Misty (PVC figure / fixed) as a new development to this product line. More development is being made to Lizard Misty Appendix and we should expect few face sculpts to come with.

The last part of the sentence explains that these items of PVC figures (fixed figures) may be born as a new category.

So, now we have 4 product lines for Saint Seiya series alone:
1. Saint Cloth Crown => 12-inch action figures
2. Saint Cloth Myth EX => improved 18-cm action figures
3. Saint Cloth Myth => 18-cm action figures
4. Saint Cloth Myth APPENDIX => full-body PVC figures (fixed) with accessories and gimmicks

Megahouse had tried it once with PVC figures of Seiya, Shiryu and Saori, but failed horribly. Probably the sculpt quality was not up to standard.

So, PVC figures for all characters again. Anyone buying it?

Bandai Screwed Up the Packing of EX Leo Aioria?

Apparently, there have been many reports from ToysDaily’s forum members that they received their EX Leo Aioria with same side of Leo’s armor for lower leg, either Left-Left or Right-Right.

Below is the picture to better describe the issue. Did you notice the curves don’t align to each other?

PS3 Saint Seiya Gold Wars with Gold Limited Pegasus

The PS3 game, which have been introduced a while ago, is now set to release on November 23, 2011 in 2 different pricing – 7,330 Yen and 12,580 Yen.

The expensive package (12,580 yen) will include the PS3 Saint Seiya Gold Wars (1), the Limited Gold Box, the Gold Limited Pegasus of Pegasus Seiya Early Bronze playable character (3) and Myth Cloth figure (4).

Tamashii Akiba Showroom: Shaina + Cassios (Updated)

Shaina and Cassios were spotted at Tamashii Nation Akiba Showroom recently, as reported by Toro+. Some rumor said possible of November 2011 at 8,400 Yen, which includes zero-articulation “Cassios”. No valid source has confirmed that.

UPDATE: These two figures are planned to release in November 2011. Available in 2 options: Shaina @ 5,000 Yen and Shaina with Cassios @ 8,000 Yen

The future of Myth Cloth (as of now)

Many people have been questioning about the future of Myth Cloth since the introduction of the two new series – Saint Cloth Myth EX and Saint Cloth Crown.

Figure-Oh No.160 reveals the future plans of Myth Cloth line.

Figure王訪問內容透露:
(1) 聖鬥士聖衣神話EX 暫定計劃推出17款，分別是12位黃金聖鬥士及5位主角的新生青銅聖衣
(2) 聖鬥士聖衣皇級計劃推出餘下的天秤座紫龍(這款會超過2萬日圓)、天瓶座冰河、獅子座一輝及處女座瞬…….期望能出埋波塞冬及哈迪斯
(3) 聖鬥士聖衣神話系列會繼續推出新角式，首先是用上新女素體的女聖鬥士，另外，Bandai也想將天哭星華泰倫商品化。

Translation (edited):
(1) Saint Cloth Myth EX tentatively plans to launch 17 models, which includes 12 Gold Saints and the 5 main Bronze Saints.
(2) Saint Cloth Crown plans to introduce the remaining of Bronze Saints in Gold Cloth – Libra Shiryu, Aquarius Hyoga, Virgo Shun, Leo Ikki. There is possibility of Poseidon and Hades to join the line-up.
(3) The original Saint Cloth Myth line will continue to introduce new characters like the female Saints and few other Specters (Valentine Specter??)

The continuation of these two new series will depend on the popularity and demand in the market.

Silver Saint Orion in February 2011. YES, Hoax!!

An announcement scan of Silver Saint Orion was posted early today at Toysdaily.

The picture looks legitimate, but have few fundamental flaws.

1. The design layout of PO announcement scan doesn’t match the look and feel of those for the past one year. It’s more like the 2008 design.

2. February 2011 release is definitely out of question, considering that all POs for February and March 2011 next year have closed for at least 1 month.

3. The SKU number (45823) found in the picture doesn’t look right. Most new items released for the last 1 year has already at 6xxxx number. After double check, the SKU number of 45823 happens to be Sea Dragon Kanon.

In conclusion, it’s just a hoax. Don’t get fooled. ;)
