Although this featured article by Amiblo has been up for nearly 1 month, I think it’s too interesting to miss this special interview with two team managers of Planning and Development from Bandai Collectors Division – Mr. Tanaka Hiroaki (田) and Mr. Shinichi Yokokawa (横)

There is one section of the interview that covered about Myth Cloth, which includes topics like Hades, Lost Canvas and others. Below is the transcript of the interview (in Japanese):

「聖闘士聖衣神話 冥王ハーデス」その圧倒的な存在感と完成度

横：僕はコレクターズ事業部に配 属されてまだ半年ほどですが、「聖闘士聖衣神話」は以前からずっと見てきていて、今回は「冥王ハーデス」本体も付属する星矢の顔も、おそらく歴代「聖闘士 聖衣神話」、いや星矢の立体物の中でも最上級のクオリティの出来栄えになっているかと思います。

（「聖闘士聖衣神話 冥王ハーデス」には「神聖衣 ペガサス星矢」（別売）に装着できる「星矢の叫び顔」「貫かれた胸アーマー」パーツが付属します）

田：「冥王ハーデス」の存在感は凄いですね。このシリーズを始めた頃は「ハーデス」なんて商品化するのは何年先だろうと、そもそもそこまで辿りつけないと思っていましたからね。

──「聖闘士聖衣神話」シリーズ開始時に、ゴールのようなものは決めておられたんですか？

田：シリーズ当初、むこう4年分位の商品ラインナップを作成しました。

ま ず黄金聖闘士を揃えて、冥闘士を少しずつ出しながら並行して海闘士と神闘士を、と考えていて、冥王なんて一体何年先だろう、たどり着くまで随分あるなあと 思っていました。「聖闘士聖衣神話」リリーズが始まったのは2003年の12月だから、今年でちょうど7年、そういう意味ではシリーズに関わってきて本当 に感慨深いですね。

横：OVAの『冥王ハーデス編』に関しても、アニメと玩具の両方があった事で『星矢』のファンが盛り上がってくれたというのもあります。

──『冥王ハーデス編』の映像化は嬉しかったですね。現在連載中の外伝「LOST CANBAS」も大人気ですし。

田：ここまで来ても、まだ商品化されていないキャラクターが残っているのが驚異的です。ひとつの作品でこれだけ商品化の幅がある例は他に無いですね。

横：しかも「1年にひとつ」では無く、毎月の様に新商品が出ているにも関わらず、ですからね。

── シリーズ初期商品の再販がコンスタントになされているのも、人気の証ですね。

田：まだ商品化されてないのは、あとは女神（アテナ）の聖衣とかですね。

横：白銀聖闘士のシャイナさんとかね。

田：まだ女性キャラ系がけっこう残ってますね。がんばらないと。

Update 2: New picture of the base with Aiolos figure added.

YellowBlue93, via his blog, confirmed that the next installment for Diorama Base free gift came with Sagittarius Aiolos Reissue on June 28, 2010. Sadly, this diorama base is only available in China, like the previous one of Garuda Aiacos reissue.

The previously reported Garuda’s Diorama Base, as seen on the right, was eventually released exclusively in China last month, along with reissue of Garuda Aiacos. It is also available in Hong Kong (since they’re so near to each other).

According to one of our friends (who managed to get one during his trip to China), the diorama base is made from porcelain material. It was quite heavy, perhaps twice the weight of a normal metal plate. It comes in a small carton box.

Soon after this, perhaps we’ll get to see more of this diorama base bonus gift. That is according to tips from YellowBlue93, who works closely with Bandai for some time ago.

According to YB93 on actoys – the coming 12 characters of re-issue cloth myth will come with a scene stand as Garuda Aiokos (which re-issued last month). Some rumors says the Gold Saint’s stand will be able to merge & combine become a big scenary??!!! Also it will be look similar to the attached picture…

P/S: Those stand are created by YB93.

This is certainly a very good news. The best part of it is “BONUS GIFT”.

But it is a shame that this exclusive release in China only doesn’t create any excitement at all. Not to mention that this will totally make some long-time myth cloth fans angry.

If this has to continue, I would reckon Bandai to do it fairly for all fans. Perhaps, it is better to sell them separately at lower price. Hope Bandai hears me.

Tamashii Nation Award 2010 is an official polling program by Bandai allowing fans to vote for their Bandai products (under Tamashii label), which were released from April 2009 to March 2010.

Fans can vote on 5 different categories, which include Best Packaging, Best Gimmick/Posing, Best Surprises, and Best Proportion and Best Overall.

The voting started from April 28th to May 6th. The result was published on Tamashii Website just recently.

Among 272 products from 54 categories, Myth Cloth alone only has 11 regular releases, 4 releases from Tamashii Webstore, and 5 releases from Tamashii event.

And the result is NONE OF THEM MADE IT IN ANY OF THE CATEGORIES.

I am not sure if this could help giving Bandai a constructive idea (rather than destructive idea) to the future of this product line.

But I just hope that Bandai will continue and finish the rest of the line-up.

Unlike the usual tradition (by Bandai), KidsLogic do their own way by releasing Dragon Shiryu Final Version as a start.

Without further due, here are pictures of Cosmos Burning Collection Vol.001, Dragon Shiryu

CBC Vol.001 is currently open for Pre-Order at Angolz (their partner site) and set to release in Autumn 2010.

The figure is non-poseable and features detail sculpture with metallic paint job (by Ray and Wong Studio), display base with LED lights (as seen above), Saint Seiya logo and name plate, magnet on the feet to allow figure standing properly without any support.

The figure stands about 130mm tall and comes with the LED display base (approximately 30mm tall).

They seems to have pretty good line-up for the next 1 year, as per my conversation with KidsLogic this afternoon. Here is the list of release in their pipeline:
